Klaus Wunderlich: The Collection - Volume 2 is a most enjoyable CD, with the master electronic organist playing medleys of mostly well-known tunes in great style. This is music played in happy style, and makes me want to seek out Volume 1.

Accordion & Polkas Charles Magnante

In the pre and post war years America's Charles Magnante was regarded widely as one of the world's finest solo accordionists, and his playing standard was for many aspiring accordionists the benchmark to aim for. Magnante passed away in 1986, and his many albums have disappeared from the shops and the internet.. This album is a timely re-issue and a varied cross section of his recordings, offering polkas, French, Italian, Spanish, Bach's Toccata in D Minor, jazzed up Mozart (Mozart Been Around) and Chopin (Minutes with Magnante) - all uplifting music, played with Magnante's trademark panache. This CD is a good souvenir of a great accordionist, and a reminder of this great man's wonderful musicianship.
