Excellent system
I bought a pack of 5 heating pouches and tried one for the first time on a weekend camping trip to heat up a boil in the bag ration. Very easy to use, and quickly produced an excellent heat once the water was added to the chemical bag in the pouch. The instructions say to zip up the heating pouch once the water has been added, so I did, but it just blew open with a loud bang! The chemical pouch produces steam so I left it as it was, and it still worked well. After 20 minutes the contents of the food pouch was very hot. In fact the chemical pouch continued to produce heat for some time, so I probably could have cooked something else.
I would thoroughly recommend the system for heating boil in the bag rations without having to use a stove.
