Did the Job
Requested by my 7yr old grandaughter and she loves it.
Clearly an excellent format for a classic fairy tale if you have a 7 yr old to please.

a pilot worth watching
I decided to buy this because I could not remember having seen it on tv unlike the two films and series.It is equally as good as the other films but has different title music as it was an "armchair theatre" production.If anything the main characters are less violent and loud than thier characters developed into.The only reason I can see that it may not have been repeated on tv is a confrontation with a German chap and the language used.Altogether though a very good film in its own right and in particular for fans of the series as it gives background to the characters not seen later on.
