why i love my balence staff
it makes me happy, it makes the watch go round, it has something to say when singing in unison with the watch running,its llike new life in a new day, a fresh start, to father time, its a good price, its fits well with no problems, it gets the job done at a low percentage of a name brand price, being a machinist it I can tell you once it is measured and made it is perfect.

i endorse the use of aftermarket parts on rolex
while I am not going to debate the quality ,being a certified machinist with cert in cnc programing , I can tell you a part can be duplicated within the same tolerance of the original, this bezel fit fine for my brothers watch which was very worn ( we will save it ) , I gave it to him in the late 80's when I worked as a watchmaker and jeweler, at Bailey,Banks and Biddle, I installed it, it went together well along with an aftermarket plastic crystal, he doesn't plan on ever selling it and I do the services on it. if it was a customers and they want to send their watch to the factory then that's fine a fool and his money are soon parted, I understand, I recommend these bezels for a watch that is worn everyday as long as the customer is aware it is NOT a genuine part, a watch is mechanical, like an automobile, even high end cars use aftermarket parts with great success, they idea that a watch company OWNS the watch that you purchased and don't allow you to make changes it to it or don't sell parts to watchmakers anymore is not good, if that's the case they should lease the watch to you and you return it after so many years while they maintain it for free.
