Super cool tiny early/mid 80s BASIC programmable calculator.
Has plenty memory (10K) to store programs and you can load them via a CE-126p printer/cassette interface. The BASIC dialect is interesting. It has labels and DEF key presses can jump to these labels. The AREAD command is great to use with DEF keys. Goto and restore can use a label instead of a line number and even string expressions can be used with goto/gosub/restore. Also data statements take expressions. An English manual is available on the Internet Archive.

Excellent handheld computer
0 of 1 found this helpful Pro. EPOC32 is an impressive OS for the 90s. It runs productivity software and you can install more applications and even write your own OPL programs. Java, Python, and Lua are available too. It is like a WinCE handheld PC of the 90s, but the keyboard, user interface and application switching is much better.
Cons. The one important thing to watch out for is the screen and keyboard hinge mechanism, which should not be stressed too much (do not let the screen slap down hard, a friend of mine did that with my original Psion 5 and broke it).
Misc. Avoid alkaline batteries that can leak, use NiMH. It can run Linux if you really don't want to use EPOC32.

The Sharp EL-733(A) financial calculator is much better than newer financial calculators
This calculator is the perfect assistant for important financial decisions. Get it with the book. The book is a mini course on finance. Save your money and get this calculator. I've used Ti and HP financial calculators, but I almost never need their extra features and buttons, which make simple things more complicated. Their manuals are a waste of time.
