1995 Amp sounds better than 2017 Supernait
I had a home demo of a new Naim Supernait in an attempt to get my B&W In Wall speakers to sing. Excellent as it was, I didn't feel the Naim was worth the £3,100 price tag and opted instead for a 1995 Linn Kairn + Lk140 from eBay which together came to £935. I was expecting similar performance to the Naim but the Linn combination sounded far better with a wonderfully natural unforced sound. My music source is a Linn Majik DS.

Worth every penny!
1 of 1 found this helpful I already had a Linn LK100 power amp and I bought this LK140 to upgrade my Linn Keilidh speakers to active, using the LK140 for treble and the LK100 for mid/bass. My main source is a Linn Sondek. Initially I just ran the 2 amps in bi-amp mode and frankly was amazed by the improvement. A week later I had Linn Ativ cards fitted to the amps by my Linn dealer. Wow! I am absolutely gob-smacked by the effect this upgrade has had - far beyond my expectations. Every aspect of music has improved, bass extension (unbelievable), sweet clear treble, dynamic range, sound stage (my wife says it like having 3D glasses on your ears). These substantial improvements are noticable with every source - CD, TV, Blu-ray. Total cost of the upgrade was £900 (activ cards were £380 and I paid the Linn dealer £120).

Can't believe we've only just discovered Chantal Chamberland!
Evidently Chantal Chamberland has been around for years but we've only just discovered her through Tidal. Fabulous husky voice and backing jazz musicians, really well recorded. We also bought Serendipity Street and This Is Our Time. All excellent.
