Good and bad but ok for money after mods.
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this reel for a marker set up. So i didnt see the point of splashing out vast amounts of money. Plus points are it has a nice large spool, is light and has a decent drag knob. The wooden handle is a nice touch.
Bad points. The bail arm trip rod catches the trip point on the body so the reel has a very annoying grate every revolution. Filed a bit off the trip point so now nice and quiet. The reel seat is too fat for my Greys medium marker rod seat, which is one of the more popular marker rods. Again, i tweeked the reel to fit. The braid isnt loaded very well, its a bit slack on the spool so reload it before you take it fishing or risk a birds nest first cast. If you dont mind messing with the reel a bit, its not bad for the money.
