Simple and cheap
A basic moisture detector which works well enough for plant watering but not highly accurate. Perfect for a simple, low cost project. The 'electronics' end should be well protected from moisture to avoid corrosion - I covered mine with shrink tubing and then hot melt glue.

The best aerial wire
I'm been making wire aerials for over 40 years for amateur radio and this is by far the best wire I have ever found. It has several important and unique advantages:
- flexible
- strong
- easy to handle - does not tangle and can be coiled / uncoiled easily
- easy to solder
- good balance of thickness for strength and lightness
I would never use any other wire for an aerial again.

Wemos D1Relay Shield
This shield provides and easy way to control mains devices from a Wemos D1. The board format allows headers to be connected directly onto the Wemos D1 so connections are easy. Although the relay is nominally 5V it works fine with the Wemos. Operation is simple - toggle the GPIO pin to switch the relay state.
There are connections for normally closed and normally open.
