Skoda Fabia parcel shelf repair kit
The plastic hinges on our second-hand Fabia's parcel shelf were broken so that it dangled in the air. You have to separate the two halves of each hinge, and then it's a bit tricky forcing the lugs into the holes on the new parts. I used a flat-bladed screwdriver and a light hammer, though a hollow drift would have been better. It's all as good as new, though I keep the hinges lightly greased now and take the shelf off (when I need to) gingerly - I don't think the hinge would take rough treatment.

Shower curtain rail used as a towel rail in the kitchen.
I bought this to use, not for a shower curtain, but as a towel rail around a long kitchen radiator. The finish is brushed rather than shiny - no problem. The two long pieces of tube are joined with a plastic insert which doesn't fit very tightly, but I solved this by packing it out with plumber's PTFE thread packing tape. I cut the third piece of tube down to make two short stubs so that the long rail cleared the radiator, leaving a gap. The whole thing is solid, though a bit chunkier (tube is 2.5cm diameter) than I'd have liked.

Well made, looks lethal
The traps are very well made, though it takes some dexterity to hold the spring down and engage the little pin that holds it. Mind your fingers! Admittedly, it hasn’t caught the mole yet, but it’s a clever little varmint.
