InRide - ok but ....
At $170 the device seemed good value at first however ... Compared to Garmin gear (which I have) I think the Garmin HRM strap is much easier to fit. The Kinetic connects with a press button on either side of the sensor (center of strap) whereas the Garmin is connected to the center of the strap and connects via a hook at the side. Working capacity? The trainer sensor has to be fit very precisely at the back of the trainer. If you don't get it right the first time you have to lever it off and subsequently risk damaging the double sided tape (which sticks very well). When I finally got it set up on teh bike and me, and downloaded the apps (inRide & Kinetic Fit) I went through the process of trying to get my sensors to pair with the app (using iPhone 4s & ipad mini). Day 1 - I just could not either the trainer or hrm sensors to show / pair. Very frustrating. Day 2, just before I sent an email to Kinetic Help, I turned on my ipad (with the hrm attached to me) and discovered that it was now connected. I then went out to the bike to see if I could get the trainer sensor to connect. After quite some time I still had no indication that the sensor was present. During that time a message came up on my phone indicating that I may have version 1 of the (sensor) pod and that I should check the website for details on how to identify it. Ok, this wasn't too hard to do and it turns out that I did in fact have version 1 - that has out of date firmware. The good thing is that Kinetic are replacing the version 1 pod with version 2 free of charge (except for postage). You just have to find the details on the website and post the sensor off. I have read that the app is unreliable. I guess I will have to wait and see. Kinetic have been good with support but I think if I had known what I know now before buying I would have just gone with another Garmin - or just got an extra speed/cadence sensor for my head mount.

Not much good
I found the product to be quite uncomfortable to wear and it caused me to be very itchy during the night. It was had a very stron petro-chemical smell when opened. I washed it but it didn't get rid of the smell much. Aparently I also snored more than before too.
