Replacement arms
1 of 1 found this helpful The arms arrived, and looked fine. Packaged well and in good condition.
The arms fitted correctly and all looked well.
On carrying out a test drive of the car with the new fitted arms the handling of the car felt terrible. The car was weaving from side to side on the road road without any movement from the steering wheel. During hard acceleration the car was pulling to the left like it had power steer and when letting off the power it jerked back to central position . On hard breaking the car pulled to the right. The car never had any of these problems before I fitted the new arms I rechecked all the correct tightness of the bolts, brakes and alignment all were fine. After driving the car for 24 hours, the car was a accident waiting to happen. I decided to remove one arm and refit the old one good arm that I had removed from the car. On doing this and carrying out the test drive I noticed 50% improvement in driving quality. The car was still doing all the problems from above but all to the opposite side. I removed the other new arm and re fitted the other old arm and the car was re tested again and the car drove perfect. On inspection of the new arms supplied the robber bushes were inspected and all looked well apart from one problem the rubbers bushes were so weak I could move the internal bush in the rubber with little force. These arms are poor quality and the bushes are not fit for the weight of the car . Both new arms were scrapped and new arms bought and refitted from the manufacture Nissan. If you are thinking of buying these save yourself all the problems I had and buy correct manufactured arms, they are much more heavy duty and fit for the task.
