Too much bass for my purpose

I bought these to use with guitar and ampliifier, but there is too much bass for this purpose in my opinion. Otherwise good sound, tone and quality at a reasonable price. OK if you have a lot of control over the music settings where you can adjust bass, treble etc. With my usage, l can do this but have to re-adjust equipment when using without headphones
