Some nice expansion options
We play Carcassonne almost daily. We like mixing it up. There are some good options here. Of course we read the enclosed rules, but we also make up our own modifications. For example, our "wolves" have become Border collies and allow the keeping of additional sheep in adjacent fields.

Doing the basic job really well
We had a plastic pencil-holder on the fridge. It dropped and shattered (old). This is a much better replacement.
