buying these used was a better idea as they are delicate, they break easy, back when a new pair was 20 some bucks I use to buy about 3 or 4 a year, then the price got ridiculous so I thought i would try these used ones with no foam, they are working great so far. they catch on things easily so my husband constantly gets up from his recliner and they end up slamming onto the floor, but he likes the comfort of these hanging on his ears, over the years these were the best sounding and most comfortable of all small hanging ear headphones. others that are that style are not as comfortable and their sound quality is not quite the same. He has to use these to watch TV, because hearing aids blue tooth are NEVER quite in sync. And earbuds do not work with his small ear canals. but these sound the best and the foam is not necessary for the sound.
