Great unit though very light and prone to move about
I’m using this to tame the low-end in my Mackie studio monitors and it’s perfect for this. It does the job without adversely affecting the sound, which is all you ask of an eq.
On the negative side, l would have preferred it to have XLR connectors, as the jack contacts seem to tarnish easily and occasionally you have to turn the plugs in the sockets to restore contact. An odd fault and not one l’ve encountered before in a relatively new item of gear.
Oh, and the plastic casing makes the unit very light, so it tends to slip around on my table.
Otherwise an excellent unit and well worth the asking price.

Good sounding but it hums!
This is the third Pro Junior l have owned - my last one was stolen last year and it has taken me this long to be able to afford to replace it. This one was cheap and clise to the home of a friend, who was able to collect it for me.
I use PJs mainly for harmonica and they work well for this -especially when the cgassis is mounted in a bigger combo cab with 2x10" speakers for a bigger, fatter sound which is what l did with the last one. There's a guy in South Wales called Mark Phillips who makes great cabs - search for him on Facebook. This time however, l had the chance to a/b the PJ with Russian-built Yerasov Tonmeister, which is basically a better-engineered version of the Pro Junior. PJ'S have an inherent mains hum which is present, regardless of volume without expensive modifications. The Yerasov is totally silent and also better made, with the tube bases attached the chassis, not the PC as is the case with the PJ.
I'm therefore going with the Russian amp on this occasion, but keeping the PJ as a small guirar amp for quieter gigs. (I'll get it modded when l can afford it.)

Every bit as good as everyone says it is.
