This Dummies guide has been an enlightenment to me and switched a light on
Hi there i sometimes get together with some of my freinds to play guitar and they had mentioned the Guitar for dummies books, so I decided to search one out. I am the kindof guitarist who has been messing about but not too seriously for years but wanted to get better, and this book seems to have sctatched my itch, I like the way you can jump right in anywhere and pick out things you had always been usure of, and reinforce bit you already knew. The chapters and the seperate book sections are laid out perfectly with for me just the right balance of instruction and iformative tips all of which are complimented by the CD. It does what it says on the tin, ad could be used from a beginer through the enthusiastic ameture like me, to the season and acomplished player. If you are just starting out and as I was are bewildered by the minefield of books and CD's this one is a great starter, as well as a valuable reference as you advance in your playing. I could not put it down from the moment it arrived my head was buried in it, I beleive if you purchase it it will be the same for you, it haa cleared up many mysteries for me in the way its format is laid out to help with Icons at the side margins giving points to remember as well as hints and tips. Also it is heavy on the music theory as you want it to be, you do not have to read music to use it, but on the other hand it runs thrugh theory if that is what you want. I have only been using it for less than a week and found it very useful with advice on fingering chords diferently, and reading Tableture and advice on how to write and structure songs. Of all the books I have purchased on the guitar this one if by far the easiest to use, and will probably be my reference for the future.
