some like it hot
The kettle works very well indeed. Water come to a boil quickly and automatically shuts off when the water is hot. There have been no problems with the power switch that other reviewers have disparaged. One minus, however, is that the sides of the kettle do get quite hot, uncomfortably so. I don't know that one could burn oneself by touching the side of the kettle since this is an experiment that I am unwilling to pursue.
