Exactly as described. It does kill the focusing feature but the overwhelming amount of overall light makes that acceptable.

Well satisfied

The maps, the route planning, the voice instructions, the screen and "logic" of the menus are flawless. The units does everything it promises to do. The closest thing we have to a complaint is the quality of the voice heard by the caller when we are using the bluetooth capability to speak over the cell phone. That could be better. Otherwise it is close to amazing.
