The Cat is greater than the Man
T.S. Eliot is normally associated with profound and challenging works of plays and poetry, raising matters of life and destiny. Old Possum's Book shows a completely-different talent. His cats all have interesting tales(!) to tell; they are confident, interesting characters, who know how to manipulate the human being. In Kipling's words, they know how to walk alone. The book should appeal to both young and old.
