Tragic true life tale.
This is a truly outstanding piece of filmmaking. Acting is solid, music, editing and cinematography is top-notch and the direction is brilliant. Forget the James Cameron 'so called epic', this is the proper one to watch. I defy anyone not to have a lump in their throat when the great Lady finally succumbs to the sea. 10/10

The best haunted house film ever made.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is just simply an absolutely brilliant film from start to finish. Direction by Robert Wise is absolutely faultless, cinematography & lighting by Davis Boulton is gorgeous whilst the music score by Humphrey Searle helps raise the tension (if that's possible) to new heights of dread. All the cast to a sterling job, however, extra praise must be given to Julie Harris & Claire Bloom both of whom are outstanding. If you only ever see one 'Haunted House' film then this is the one. My rating :- 10 "The Haunting" (1963).
Forget about the remake, absolute drivel.
You might want to check out "The Legend of Hell House" 1973 starring Roddy McDowall & Gayle Hunnicutt, directed by John Hough.

Mel Brookes take on Robin & his Merrie Men.
It's Mel Brookes so you know what you'll be getting. It's not up there with Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Silent Movie or The Producers but you'll still find yourself grinning, smiling & laughing.
I especially found the lampooning of Robin Hood : Prince of Thieves amusing.
