good basic car
Everything except the heater directional control lever works well. Check engine light on; meant O2 sensor bad. Put a crimp in exhaust pipe trying to get old sensor out. Still couldn't. Left it be. Car runs OK. But probably would run better with a new one.
This is a basic bottom of the line car. No power windows, locks, etc. The A/C and the heater work. It starts, drives and stops well. That's all I wanted, so I'm quite satisfied. It has 170,000 miles on it. If I can get another 50,000, I'll be very satisfied. And I expect it.

Most underrated SUV on the market.
2 of 2 found this helpful For the money, these trucks (that's what Isuzu really builds) are fantastic. I just bought my first and then second Rodeo(s). With over 120k miles, all they needed was a little TLC to bring them back to "like new" condition. Slightly underpowered, they deliver everything an SUV should. Tough, reliable, with more than average creature comforts; they're totally cool. I then bought my son a Passport. Isuzu with Honda badges on it.
Easy to work on. Excellent craftsmanship in design, production, and assembly. Parts are available and reasonably priced. You won't go wrong.

1 of 1 found this helpful Great SUV. I think this Isuzu/Honda vehicle is one of the best kept secrets in today's used car market. Other vehicles in its class are selling for much more without giving any better features, reliability, or performance. Liked it so much I bought another one for my son.
