Seals well
I used this to seal the gland nut on an outside tap. Very effective and easy to use. As it comes in a tube, there was little or no mess to clean off. Would obviously be equally as good on pipe compression joints. Very pleased.

Essential on new plaster.
Trying to paint with emulsion on new plaster is one of the most frustrating experiences. The paint doesn't adhere properly and has a tendency to lift off and leave a messy surface.
Unibond Super PVA is an effective adhesive, but when you dilute it in water, it becomes an essential tool for painting on new plaster. It seals the plaster instantly. Then, paint adheres to the surface to be painted as you would expect.
It only needs one coat of Unibond, so is very economical.
When applying it, it goes on like water and will run down the wall quickly, so lay newspaper or something on the floor beneath where you are working, to soak up any excess.
I think this is brilliant.
