Releasing old, seized mount
This proved to be an exact match for the original item, and made a big improvement.
As the Haynes manual warns you, the mounting stud was seized in the mount. However, I found that drilling a hole (with cobalt drills) through the old mount, alongside the shaft, weakened the bond enough for the mount to pull off the stud.
You need to be careful not to drill too deeply, since the stud is stepped. A quick look at the new mount shows how thick the top plate is, so that's easy to estimate.
