AUDIO TECHNICA ATH-W1000 Headphones

If you're looking for reality and musicality in headphones, you should consider these. Of course, like anything else of quality, they're not cheap (though cheaper bought from Japan as I did!) The quality is also excellent. The 'outer case of the phone is perfectly made of wood. The Japanese have a long history of craftsmanship, so you get a thing of beauty that also sounds brilliant! No the sound isn't THAT kind of brilliant. It's detailed and musical. An added advantage is that they're quite efficient, so will run straight from an Ipod. (Be sure to use Lossless downloading for the detail there!) You will find the phones reach deep into your music. Excellent technology of course. a joy to own. Check out the Glow One amp if you need an amplifier too for these. I had considered Grado 1000s before these, and they are good. But the craftsman/wood angle swayed me! AND they're cheaper!

Ch-ch-changes.

Reading history, how folk used tallow candles.....then gas light, then the light bulb. Now things move so fast. When I had these fixtures installed, 9 years ago, it was low energy tubes. Now everything is LEDs! Anyway....this 'bulb' worked, gave forth light. Just as it was designed to do.
