Difficult to use
I have 2 chest freezers and when de-iced, the melted ice should drain as water thru a hole in the bottom. This product results in sheets/chunks of ice on the bottom of the freezer which don't drain away and have to be removed by hand - very messy. I think it is better to use hot water containers to get a complete melt and proper drainage. This product does not make the de-freezing task easier or quicker - just different. But, it can be used on the car windscreen so it is not money wasted.
