I have several of these in body shop environment, they have worked well for me!

It came fully charged, or very close, easy to change, from the bottom remove the four perimeter #1 Phillips screws pull the rubber head off, open and remove old battery and place it next to scanner the way it came out, place the new battery like the old, with the power cord indexed in the same way, install and reverse process.
