CTEK Comfort Battery Terminal Indicator Quick Connector - Clamp
08 Dec, 2021
Quick connector
This is a poorly thought out product. No 1 the clamps look good but they actually turn out to be useless for gripping onto battery connections mine kept pinging off. So no confidence that they'll stay on for the duration of the charge. Secondly the eyelet connection fixing them onto the battery permanently for the ease of then using the quick connector set up. I found much to my cost that this is only good for for older cars ie worked ok on my 2006 s type jaguar. But when I changed my old car for a 2016 XF jaguar and permanently fitted the eyelet connections I discovered after a few weeks that if my car had not been driven for a couple of days that the battery was draining fast down by 58%. I started looking around for faults couldn't find any, kept charging and still loosing power. I got a it checked by an auto electrician (£40) recommended a new battery fitted a brand new O. E. M. battery life.,but still getting the drain. I'm talking about flat battery in 3 days if not driven. Got a different auto electrician to check car (£50) he said an I. C. U. unit was continually trying to shut down a power source the diagnostic graphics showed the rise and fall of the car trying to shut down when parked up for the night. So what's going on here!! Phone up jaguar Perth they recommended a full diagnostic and a possible software download starting at £174 per hour and this would need more than 1 hour, which I have to say I declined there extortionate offer. So to let you know the outcome of this story and the happy ending was I removed the innocent looking ctek connectors from the permanent eyelet fixed to battery connection and the car went back to normal The moral of the story is ctek charger works fine just don't leave wires connected to the battery if you are not charging the battery on modern cars as it messes with the cars electronics.
WILKS-USA High Pressure Washer 2400 PSI/165 BAR. POWERFUL & WITH ALL THE TOYS
24 Dec, 2017
Power cleaner
Brilliant machine, excellent plenty of power. Cleaned up my driveway, wheely bins, and my car in record time. But be careful with the pressure lance that's the plastic wand with the trigger part because there is a alloy pipe under the plastic sleeve and it's threaded on both ends for the brass nipple connector, and because the alloy is soft the screwed thread badly weakens the pipe and it breaks of at the threads, if you like me stand on your pressure gun if it's not flat on the ground, as I stood on mine while it lay across the water hose it bent so easily and when I tried straightening it it snapped in two. And since it's American it's hard to get a replacement power lance in UK as spare parts are in metric sizes.. So lm going to try get one from Wilkinson usa after the new year. Its only been used six times and is a year old. So be careful out there. Mr R Lundie
