More of the same is a good thing

Well, it's Jon Spencer. So it's a loud, bluesy rock n roll LP. If you don't like his others, you won't like this. If, however, you do, it's a belter. If you like stuff like White Stripes, etc. then you owe it to yourself to check this out. He did it first & he does it better!

Early work shows its age.

This is the EBM godfathers' debut LP covering their earliest work from 81-83. As such, it's fairly basic compared to their later works & whilst it's a good record it's of interest to fans of the group & electronic music enthusiasts only. If you want an intro to the band I'd recommend "Front By Front" or "Tyranny For You".

More mature thriller drom seminal director/actor

In this film Kitano plays a cop, but is a very different type from that portrayed in earlier films. This film explores loss & love & regret, while still being fast moving with enough action to satisfy fans of his earlier work. It's an outstanding film & one of his best - I'd reccomend it to those who weren't into his other films as well as fans.
