Bl 15 for my bf 109
Got a dynam 1270mm bf109 v2. It came with a wimpy 500kv detrum running on a 13x7x3blade prop. The bf109 was very slow allways at a stall in tight turns especially, it had no verticle power and maybe managed 45mph. Took some measurements from my eflite 1.2m p51 june nights and it looked like a nearly direct swap. The bl15 replacement for the detrum 500kv fit the dynam motor mount and just needed longer motor mount screws and motor screws because i had to install small washers behind the motor and the motor mount to get the prop adapter to the right depth. The bl 15 was a pinch shorter just because the prop adapter was a little shorter. Once installed the prop had to be dropped to a 10.5x7x3blade because the stock 13x7x3blade was drawing too many watts and amps, but the bf 109 was faster with the smaller prop anyway and came down nearly cool to the touch after boosting the performance ofnthe bf 109 to about 85mph( double the top speed) flys very smooth now and the verticle climbing speed is ridiculous! The bf 109 goes way upstairs and dosnt slow down! Love my. New motor run times went from about 10 min in the stock motor to about 5min in a 4s 2200mah with the bl15 but its worth it for the speed and stability gained from the new motor!
