Just the Grease for Window Catches
The catches on 6 casement windows were wearing out after just 7 years’ use. Use of the catch was wearing out a washer on the handle spindle. I had to buy new catches and decided that graphite grease would be ideal to lubricate the washer and spindle on new catches before installation. But could I find graphite grease locally? No!! I could not find such grease locally (West London) so went to eBay and found 2207 in a 100ml tube - just the quantity I wanted. It has worked perfectly. After squeezing the grease onto the spindle and washer I worked it for a few minutes to let it penetrate and then fitted the catch. Smooth and easy operation followed and I'm sure that I'll get much more than 7 years of use, thanks to 2207 graphite grease.
