great colours try taking photos in sunset mode
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this camera when it came out 6 years ago and have taken thousands of great photos with it so when mine finally gave up the ghost from overuse/dirt/not sure but the 'take' button may be worn out from taking 1000+photos per day! I immediately looked to replace it with the same model-unfortunately it's no longer in production so I bought a 2nd hand model from ebay at the same time as upgrading to the fujifilm finepix s4300(26x zoom) after trying the s8500 (46x zoom) and not getting along with the too big lens.I find the s8100 particularly shines at skies-sunrises and sunsets-one of the few digital cameras that actually take clear sun photos all day long-I found myself shooting most things on sunset mode all the time as the colours are so rich-shame you can't use macro on this setting.It does also take crisp clear macro shots though.Only issue is there's no zoom on the video but if you want a decent video camera you'd buy a camcorder-I want a camera that takes clear,colourful shots in most conditions and this one does the job very well.Highly recommended.check out photos on flickr taken with this camera

Happy cats!
The cats love these sticks as much as they love catnip! the sticks last for ages,we have some at least a year old that they still play with but I order new ones every few months regardless!
