Never again, too much time and Money wasted
0 of 1 found this helpful At first glance, you notice it is a pretty cheap kit. When i bought it, it was 94$. Seemed like a good deal, I got a bike for free from a friend to use it with. But it together in about 2 hours. Broke a stud off the gas tank without any force.
Rode it for about 30 miinutes before the chain jumped off. Made adjustments, chain jumped off and broke. Added a master link. And for the next 3 times i used it, it always ended with the chain coming off the sprocket and breaking. The last time was it. Chain tensioner came free and twisted into the spokes causing the chain to break again, and a pretty decent wreck.
Decide to buy new bike from Walmart. Transfer the kit over. Put a HD version of the same chain series on. Chain bound up around the sprocket on the first try. Take two, bike starts, drive around the yard once and chain bound up again. Fix it, get two full revolutions in of pedaling and the chain came off, and bent the spokes on the new bike. Havent even had it a week.
I have many years of mechanical experience, kit was installed correctly, and I would advise anyone thinking about buying this to really consider the 2 -3 hundred bucks you might end up wasting in total on this junk. And your time. Between fixing, building, and transfering over, I must have over 9 hours into this trash. .
