Enthusiasm Boils Over on this one
Pros: First, it is a good quality plastic body - so it is nice and light. Second it has large water level panels, one on each side, easy to see and use, and regardless of if you're right or left handed, you're sorted. Third, the cups indicators on the water levels are accurate. I fill it to just over 'one cup' and it is plenty for a large mug of tea. Fourth, because of this, you only boil WHAT YOU NEED and don't end up with double the quantity, leaving half in the kettle unused, and wasting all the energy it took to boil it. Fifth, the pouring spout is wide and round-shaped not like a bird beak and pointed, making it easy to pour without overshooting the cup and getting water over the worktop. Sixth and finally - if you go online and register it, you'll have two years guarantee instead of the standard one year.
Cons: Firstly, a limited range of colours, so unless you like one of them, you're stuck with it. In our case, black was perfect so not a con in our view. Secondly, like all electrical items, it will pack up one day, eventually, and it is so good, we may not find another one to replace it in a few years time due to model changes and upgrades.
Conclusion
You can spend more, a lot more, we have in the past only to find ourselves throwing a £90 kettle into the 'small electrical' bin at our recycling plant nearby. The last one, a Russel Hobbs, cost us over £70 and we checked the receipt to find it was just 16 months old. Something broke loose underneath the internal base, and rattled around making us worry it would short out the element.
This Bosch lives up to the quality you associate with the brand, we are VERY happy with this one. Coincidentally, my daughter bought a new home 15 months ago, and her brother bought her a toaster and kettle as a housewarmer. We were house sitting last Monday as she was in work but expecting a delivery of furniture, and when we helped ourselves to a cuppa, we found she had exactly the same kettle. It was perfect and performed exactly as our brand new one. Funny enough, when our Russel Hobbs bit the dust, our son said, you should buy a good one like I did for my sister! He was very surprised to learn we had actually bought the same model.
Highly recommended then, and I hope yours impresses you as much as ours does. I will never buy a metal kettle again, ever. In fact, I have been refurbishing a house to sell over the past two years, and bought an Argos Value £4.99 white cheap plastic cordless kettle, and even that outperformed our Russel Hobbs - I finished the house a few months ago, and it is now here in a cupboard as a 'standby' for the sad day our Braun no longer works. When you get to my age, you accept that everything packs up sooner or later.
Thanks for reading this, if you got this far, and happy kettle hunting!

Does what it should do!
Strong buckles, short and useful to keep my camera tripod legs closed when carrying the tripod, when fixed near the feet. These are the shortest I could find anywhere, but even then I had to unpick one of the buckles and re-stitch it after removing 100mm off the strap. Does the job perfectly though, and very pleased with it. I have the other one as a spare too!

nice colour neutral multicoated filter, works a treat.
Nice quality item, not sure if the meters on my camera are off a little, but my copy worked out at four and a half stops instead of four, no big deal. The main thing was it seems colour neutral, which is what you want if you're shooting in colour, obviously. It's multicoated and seems to cope without causing specular highlights in brightly lit shots.
Would prefer not to have to use any filters on an expensive lens but this one is fine, and don't be tempted by the cheappie chinese stuff - you know what to expect with a decent brand, and if your lens cost £800 why would you save £10 on a cheap filter?
