The NRA edition is the one to look for.
The NRA commissioned Col. George to add to his original book. It was completed in 1981 and this is the edition to buy. It continues where the first edition ended and takes you to the godawful Burma campaign. Also included is a series of pictures from Col. Georges collection. I feel that this is a much richer and colorful edition than his first edition was. His writing has matured and it had a strong influence on me as a artillery sergeant reading it in 1984. I started looking for a copy over ten years ago and finally found this one at a very good price.

Details galore!
I waited many years to buy this book. Shooting my Springfield's cost so much that I waited until I aged out of shooting all the time. Brophy's book is a must have for a collector or a student of American weapons.

Well thought out stool
It is built well. It rolls nicely on the carpet that covers my garages dirt floor. That surprised me. It is just the right height for a 69 year old codger to sit on and check tire pressures on my SUV and garden tractor. It is not tippy at all. When I lean forward the stool stays flat on the floor. I am impressed with this stool.
