DREADFUL!
First, the description on the item is wrong --- this item does not have the UV Sterilizer component to it. Unfortunately, I did not realize it before installing and running. Had I realized it, the item would have been returned -- pronto. So, now that the item is running it is woefully inadequate --- surface space on the "filter" medium is small and will clog within hours, forcing the water over the lip by the intake siphon, effectively bypassing the filter cartridge. The only good thing to be said about the unit is it's quiet! Bottom line, don't waste your money.

Not recommended for a 17 inch computer
Just received my Laptop Desk a few hours ago, and sadly it is a huge disappointment. Although my 17 inch HP G72 fits, the desk could be a smidge bigger to accommodate (width). Although that is not the biggest design problem. In the first few hours of use, my laptop has overheated and shut down twice. It appears that the desk does not dissipate heat very well, causing the battery to overheat.
The second design flaw is the wrist rest. If you're like me, your laptop may be perched at a slight angle while you're sitting. The curved lip is too shallow and allows the computer to slip up and over the wrist rest. This is a total disappointment and would not recommend.

Underwhelmed !!!!!
Well, after much deliberation, finally ordered based on Rowenta's reputation. Item is just meh! I bought it to replace a larger Lasko fan than was sadly on it's last blades. Assembly instructions could be a bit more detailed, and in fact, you would think for the price that assembly instructions would not be an issue - at all! Be prepared to completely assemble your fan once it's out of the box. From the base, to the fan blades, to the grill plates. Fan blades are somewhat thin and flimsy and the base of the fan is not at all robust -- honestly looks like it would not take much to crack the item if accidently hit. Not holding out much hope for the durability of this item. Item is quiet, but the air flow is not at all what I expected. The lowest speed setting is not really worth using --- no output at all. At the end of the day, a much cheaper table fan would probably do just as well!
