Great old movie - hard to find.
It's one of my favorite movies, having seen it in 1970 or so when it first came out. I had a video tape of it, but it went bad and I couldn't watch it any more, so when this became available I snapped it up. I am very happy with it, and it wasn't expensive. I would have paid more if I had to.
Cheers

Grandmother's home town
This is part of an excellent series - this one is written by the Director of the local historical society. My maternal Grandparents lived there, and it was very interesting to me to read the history of the town. The photographs are numerous and excellent. There was even a photo of the house where my great grandfather worked taking care of the horses and carriages of the wealthy family who lived there.

Beautiful book
This book is about Osborne House on the Isle of Wight in England. Queen Victora and Prince Albert built it to designs done by the Prince. It is very well written and full of interesting information. One problem I have with it is that there are no floor plans of the building - It would have been useful to see floor plans to understand the layout of the buildings. It also talks about Barton Manor - an adjoining estate that used to belong to the Osborne estate. It is now privately owned by a famous movie director. I've been there for tea - it's quite a beautiful house - restored by Prince Albert and used to house upper level members of the Royal Household and Important guests (including Czar Nicholas II in the 1890s)
