Not as bright as you'd expect from 2 fluorescent tubes.
I bought it for my garage which has no power. Although I didn't expect to get as good brightness as a hard wired light, I was quite disappointed by the light output. You have the option to turn on either one or both tubes but it doesn't seem to make much difference to the output.
