It does a good job.
It is a good quality distiller. I tested the purity of the water from the tap as 260-300 parts per million. From this distiller it varied between 0-2 PPM. I have been using it for a few weeks now and it does cost in electric, but probably not much more that buying spring water from a supermarket. I tested that as well and it read abour 150-160 PPM. Overall I am happy to have it.
