Exactly as described...
As a long-time tinkerer with clocks, I've dealt with the issue of finding the right winding key, many times. When I found these star-design keys, covering every size from 2-11 (one key is Even-numbered sizes; the other is Odd-numbered sizes), I was originally skeptical of whether there would be sufficient clearance from the posts on either side of the proper size to prevent scratching the clock dial. However, I've not had that problem on any of my several clocks.
I was also concerned the center disk on which the winding sockets are mounted in a star formation might be too thin to withstand continued winding. But again, this has not been a problem.
