Stihl MS400 - The Perfect Work Saw
4 of 5 found this helpful Powerful and professional, the Stihl MS440 is the closest you'll come to the perfect mid-to-heavy worksaw. Weighing in at 13lbs., it packs a significant power increase over its "Farm & Ranch" brethren, the MS270/290/390. And with mild tuning it will even outpace its bigger sibling, the MS460. Pretty impressive for a saw that can be picked up for less than half what a new model will cost you.
True, it is probably a little on the heavy side for limbing felled trees, but is capable of such work if need be. Paired with a smaller 30cc-45cc saw, the MS440 is a firewood cutters dream saw.
