Ravensburger for the win
I'll admit that I'm a puzzle snob right off the top. With that out of the way, Ravensburger is at the top of my list, for my money they make the best puzzles out there. And I'm not talking about the image on the pieces, there are a ton of companies that put pretty pictures on puzzles. What separates Ravensburger is the quality of the puzzle itself. The pieces are strong and durable, the tabs (the "male" interlocking bits) don't start to delaminate into layers the first time you disconnect pieces like so many cheap puzzles do. Even better, the feature that really sets them apart for me is that there are virtually no "false fits". You know when you're doing a puzzle and you're in a bit with an indistinct pattern, clouds or sky or whatever, and you put two pieces together and you can't quite tell if they're really meant to fit or not? Ravensburger puzzles don't do that. If the pieces don't go together, they don't fit together, the puzzle never leaves you in doubt. I've done puzzles from another brand (Escape/King of Puzzles) where they even print a pattern on the back so you can flip it and check to see if the pieces are really supposed to be together. You may be looking for something different in a puzzle, but in my mind if the pieces fit so poorly / vaguely that you need to put guide marks on the back, then it isn't really a good puzzle.
Oh, and I'm a Star Wars junkie too, so Ravensburger puzzle + Star Wars image = product I am always going to buy.

Another nice Bandai Star Wars model, but one flaw...
I love Bandai's line of Star Wars models, both vehicles and characters. The one flaw with the Vader model is the plastic cape. The Phasma kit comes with your choice of plastic or textile cape, the Kylo Ren kit comes with a rubbery material that moves well and has the right sheen, but with the Vader kit you just get the plastic cape, and to me it just looks bad. If you poke around on eBay you'll probably find sellers offering a fabric cape meant to fit the Bandai kit (I did), or you could scavenge one from a Black Series figure, or you could buy $1.50 of black fabric and cut one out yourself. Other than that, just another fine Bandai kit. Now my various Bandai stromtroopers, sandtroopers, shore troopers, deathtroopers, and scout troopers have some one to boss them around...
