Can't make it's mind up
I bought this whilst in a nostalgic mood. I suspect most people who buy this will be about my age and look forward to seeing some of the old vehicles they once knew. On this front, it works well. Loads of old Cortinas' and Marinas', however, it is produced firmly in a 21st century way. The camera shots, excessively loud music etc. It is a bit of fun and it's pretty well acted despite the plots' being a little lame. It is hard to tell whether it is a comedy or a serious drama because it keeps shifting from one to the other. Modern productions seem to pride themselves in this but I'm afraid it just annoys me. The thing that ruined it a bit for me was that I felt it had been produced by people who knew very little about the period in which they were writing. It portrays the 70's as a period to be ridiculed which tends to alienate it's target audience, rather like biting off the hand that feeds it. The whole show appears to have been based on 'The Sweeney' with its non-pc racism and police violence rather than actual research into the period. The time-travel element in the script, although necessary for the plot to work, soon becomes very tedious and intrusive. It has some good things going for it though. The characters are enduring especially the 'Jack Regan' spoof. Overall, I enjoyed it but couldn't help thinking that it was a good idea that could have been handled a little better. I felt that style and quirkiness overshadowed the shows focus which left you wondering what was trying to be conveyed. The show can't seem to make it's mind up whether it's a spoof comedy, serious drama, science fiction, thriller or cop show. Maybe it's early days. The characters are strong which is always a good start so for a first series, It's worth a try.

Fantastic
This is a fantastic easel. It ticks so many boxes. At under a tenner it's incredible value for money and I expected it to be of inferior quality for this reason but I couldn't have been more wrong. It is made of quality wood and the build quality is also good, functionality is great, fully adjustable and will hold small canvases upto pretty good sized ones. It means I don't have to get my large easel out when I am doing smaller paintings and it folds away nicely for packing away. I cannot recommend this product more highly.

You get what you pay for - Quality costs but it pays long-term
There are many capos to choose from spanning a wide price range and I have tried many different ones in the past. This small item can be a nightmare and completely ruin your style, concentration and sound if it plays up which they often do because they are so temeramental. A few players have recomended this model to me in the past and so I thought I would give it a try. It is a really simple design, well made and designed, it looks super stylish, it is non-intrusive to your playing, it is lightweight but above all it seems to clamp the strings completely securely with just a simple flick whilst being extremely kind to the guitar neck itself. I can see now why so many people have recomended this product to me. I think with capos you get what you pay for and it is vital that they function efficiently otherwise they are useless. I would say the extra bucks in this case is a sound investment and I would recommend this item above all others on the market.
