The Scottish Bothy Bible: The Complete Guide to Scotland's Bothies and How to...
    04 May, 2017
Well written, great photos and a trove of information
This is a well written book. It contains additional information beyond just the history and location of each bothy. Aspects such as bothy condition, availability of fresh water and firewood at each site are very useful additions. This review does come with one caveat, that is that I have yet to use this book to go to any of the bothies detailed to verify the accuracy and the usefulness of the directions provided. Nevertheless it is a great inspiration to go out exploring.
Cycle Push Ride Bike Loud Sound One Touch Bell Retro Bicycle Handlebar RTHS
    01 Jun, 2018
Cheap but not worth the money
Pros: Cheap, looks good Cons: Doesn't work well as a bell The bell looks good and is much cheaper than the more high-end bicycle bells it imitates. Although an all-metal construction, it is badly constructed to the point of being useless. To get the bell to work you need to loosen where the gold part attaches to rest of the unit so much that it rattles loudly while you ride. If you tighten it to stop the rattling noise the bell won't ring at all. The 'hammer' which strikes the bell often rests against it when you release it so ringing noise gets killed when you ring it. If you're buying for aesthetic only then go right ahead, but if you want as bell you can rely on, look elsewhere.
