Gorgeous, evocative collaboration from Ned Lagin and Phil Lesh!
1 of 1 found this helpful I would describe this as "sonic landscapes and atmospheres". Ned Lagin's original inspiration came from long walks along a beach. He wanted to create a peaceful, calming sound-painting that would evoke a similar feeling.
This is mostly electronic sounds, recorded using synthesizers and manipulated tape recordings, but it's not the "boop-boop, beep-beep" stuff. It's evocative, emotional, and intentional.
It makes no more logical sense than a walk along a beach, but it's every bit as beautiful.
