1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased this book as a gift for a friend. I have a copy of the book and have read it, and enjoyed it so much that I did not want to turn loose of my copy. As the title implies, it is the story of Clarence Thomas from his own perspective. It is written with great humility. I say this because nearly 30 years ago I had read a biography on Clarence Thomas, and that book espoused his accomplishments in much greater detail than this book. This book is about life, that it is not always fair, how to make the most of it and how to draw upon the deep spiritual connections within us that are gifts from God, using Justice Thomas's experiences as a framework.
