An absolute bargain, this pedal is great!
A simple pedal, but it does what it says on the tin really well, superb value for money! This pedal will not diminish your sound no matter how extreme you are with it. Me, I just needed a nice spring reverb pedal for my amps that don't have reverb built in, but I'm thinking to use it on my Princeton as well, it's that good.

A clean vintage sounding amp.
The Princeton I bought was modded by Rat Valve Amps and it sounds incredible. Unfortunately, Andy does not mod Princetons any longer, he's semi-retired and only works on Fender Blues Juniors, but if you can find someone to do a similar job to Andy, I'd recommend it. If the only mod you do to your amp is to pop in a switch to turn of the NFB circuit, do it! It's like having two amps in one.
If you're looking for a clean vintage sound, check out this amp.

Budget preamps, but certainly not a budget sound
If you're looking for great value no nonsense preamps, any Focusrite products using these preamps and converters (Sapphire range) will serve you splendidly. They are transparent, what your mics hear is what you get. Yes, you could buy more expensive characterful preamps, but why? There are so many plugins now that can add character to sounds should you wish, but if you just want a clear, as it sounds recording, go for transparent preamps because it's much harder to remove character than add it.
It's solidly built, very simple to use, has ADAT out (not in) and can be used to feed 8 channels of analogue into a mixing desk whilst at the same time feed 8 channels of ADAT optical into an audio interface for recording, which is how I'm using it.
This is only my opinion, but digital audio recording has made huge leaps since its inception and the quality of products for this purpose, even those classified as 'budget', are so much better than any digital 'home' recording gear from 20 years ago. To get blatantly obviously better preamps than these you would have to be spending 'pro' recording money where each preamp will cost you more than these 8. This may be a budget product, but there is nothing budget about the sound. I have two 'pro' quality preamps, they are wonderful, but these preamps are not blown away by them, they are just different.
