HUGE bang for the buck...and I'm an audiophile

I've done a stereo build in every car i've owned in 35 years and have spent close to $70k in home and car audio gear in that time. This time i wanted to stay basic though. Prius left speakers were blown so I'm replacing all 4 and calling it a day. I received these as front speakers, gathered the tools required, and in 30 minute the first one was in. In 10 min the second one was in. I was shocked how great these sounded on the non JBL factory unit. With a name like PowerBass these were obviously bass heavy. With some simple bass and treble adjustments they adjusted to be just right. I put on the music i've used for years for tuning and turned it up. I eventually got it to max volume...no distortion at all. Completely clean. I was considering, before the install, putting in a small amp. Now I'm thinking its not needed. In the next couple weeks I'll be replacing the rears as well. All in all, these speakers are excellent. The factory head unit does the job extremely well. Oh.... Audio was streamed through a soundtek a1+ bluetooth plugged into the Aux port in the center console.
