take a lot of power
Needed something for my rear speakers that doesnt distort. given that they are 250w rms, I was interested to see how they handle the power. Well they take a bit of driving and soak up a fair amount of power to get moving. They are not big name speakers, so wasnt sure if they were a risk, it turns out not. Driving them from a 100w per channel amp, they give good deep bass, with no obvious distortion at max level. They have a natural roll off at high frequencies so you dont need a cross over. The only reason for 4 start was the huge magnet which means you need a large hole to fit the speaker in. very happy overall with these speakers a good buy that lives up to its specification. As you know when looking at power, just look for rms power, ignore the daft peak power you see in speaker adverts, it means nothing .
