NcStar SKS Gas Tube Weaver Scope Mount - MSKS 9946

Great for the price!

I needed a forward mount for a SKS Scout type rifle I was building. It was an easy replacement for the original gas tube. I ran a rat tail file through it to remove a few burrs from the rail mount screws so as not to interfere with the piston. I then had to lightly file the end to drop the overall length by a few thousandths. Once in, there was some rocking motion side to side that would affect scope zero. I shimmed it easily with some thin metal and it seems rock solid. The rails are high and open in the middle so you can still use your iron sights. I plan on popping on a low base red dot sight. Good product, just needs about 15 minutes of fit and finish to mate it to your gun.
