Forget the Electronics , This Machine Sews Like a Dream
6 of 6 found this helpful I had purchased a Singer Curvy back in March and had nthing but trouble with it. The upper tension was verey, very difficult to adjust. It had to be adjusted every time I sat down to sew, even on the same project. Singer company thought the timing might have been off as well...on a brand new machine?
So I sent it back and started searching for another "simpler" machine.
I have found it in the Singer 4423. It sewed beautifully the very first time. It is a fairly heavy machine and sems pretty durable. The threading of the upper thread makes it pretty obvious that the thread is in correctly...no sawing the thread through the tension discs here. I love that I can drop the feed dogs on this machine.
I am not an industrial sewer but I am looking forward to having many hassle free projects in the coming years.
I did find it cheaper on sale after it arrived but I am content.
